Workspace Management
Workspaces are the foundation of how you organize your work in Cygnus. A workspace contains all of your ephemeris studies, their configurations, and any generated data, saved together in a single .cygnus file.
What You Can Do
- Create New Workspace -- Start a fresh workspace for a new set of studies
- Open Workspace -- Resume work on a previously saved workspace
- Open Recent File -- Quickly return to a recently used workspace
- Save Workspace -- Persist all studies and generated data to disk
- Save Workspace As -- Save a copy under a different name or location
Automatic Protection
Cygnus automatically protects your work with Unsaved Changes Protection, prompting you to save before actions that would discard your current workspace, such as creating a new workspace, opening another workspace, or exiting the application.
Visual Feedback
- Status Indicators -- Toolbar indicators showing save status and generation activity at a glance
- Activity Indicator -- A status bar below the studies list displaying transient messages about ongoing operations
