Study Name
Every study in Cygnus has a name that identifies it in the studies list. Assign descriptive names to your studies so you can easily distinguish between them when working with multiple studies in a workspace.
Naming a Study
Type a name in the Study Name text box at the top of any study's configuration panel. The name immediately updates in the studies list on the left side of the window.
Use descriptive names that reflect the purpose or content of the study, such as "Moon Positions 2025" or "Jupiter-Saturn Aspects Jan-Jun". This makes it easier to find specific studies in workspaces with many studies.
Default Names
When you create a new study, Cygnus assigns a default name based on the study type (e.g., "Geocentric Ephemeris"). You can change this name at any time while the study is unlocked.
