Heliocentric Aspect Ephemeris

A Heliocentric Aspect Ephemeris study generates planetary positions and angular relationships between body pairs from a Sun-centered perspective. This reveals true orbital angular separations without the distortion introduced by Earth's own orbital motion.

Creating a Heliocentric Aspect Ephemeris Study

You can create a new Heliocentric Aspect Ephemeris study in either of these ways:

  • Click the Heliocentric Aspect Ephemeris button on the toolbar
  • Select Ephemerides > Heliocentric Aspect Ephemeris from the menu

A new study appears in the studies list with the same tabbed configuration interface as other aspect ephemeris studies.

Configuration

The Heliocentric Aspect Ephemeris uses the same configuration parameters and tabbed layout as other aspect ephemeris studies:

  • Study configuration fields -- Study Name, Location, Zodiac, Ref. Plane, Date Range, Interval
  • Inner & Outer Bodies tab -- Select inner (faster-moving) and outer (slower-moving) bodies
  • Body & Aspect Metrics tab -- Select positional and aspect metrics

The coordinate origin is fixed to Heliocentric. The body list adjusts for this perspective, excluding bodies that are not applicable to a Sun-centered viewpoint.

info

In the heliocentric perspective, angular relationships reflect the actual orbital separations between planets, unaffected by Earth's position in its orbit.
