Cygnus Documentation

Welcome to the documentation for Cygnus, a precision ephemeris generation application for astrological research.

What is Cygnus?

Cygnus generates precise tables of planetary positions (ephemerides) over user-specified time ranges. It supports geocentric, heliocentric, and topocentric perspectives, with configurable time intervals, celestial body selections, and multiple output metrics. Cygnus is designed for astrologers and researchers who need accurate planetary position data.

Key Features

  • Multiple Perspectives: Generate geocentric, heliocentric, or topocentric ephemerides
  • Aspect Ephemerides: Track angular relationships between celestial body pairs over time
  • Flexible Configuration: Select celestial bodies, metrics, date ranges, and time intervals
  • Preset System: Save and reuse common configurations across studies
  • Data Export: Export generated data to CSV for use in external applications
  • Cross-Platform: Available for Windows and macOS
